The blood was pouring and after slapping a bandaid on, I rushed off to work. As I drove down the road I took the bandaid off and almost stopped dead in my tracks...the blood stain was a perfect heart! This got my undivided attention. Two love notes from God...Wow! As my day progressed, I just knew there would be a 3rd heart. I felt that God wanted to complete His message. All day I watched every paintdrop, every food particle, every leaf on the ground...for that 3rd heart. After I arrived home from my long day, I took the apple piece and the bandaid to my neighbor's house. She is a Christian and I knew she would appreciate the special gifts I had been given. I rang the door bell and her 4 year old daughter came to the door, hugged me and gave me...a heart...a red heart-shaped candle. After meditation and allowing God to speak, I had no doubt...no doubt at all, that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ loves me. Loves You. Loves us all. As in the apple, He tells us to hunger after His word. Let it nourish our soul. As in the blood stained bandage, He can heal our every wound, great or small. And as for the candle, He is the Light. We are to be the light of the world. Our lives as Christians may be the only 'Bible' some people see. The heart-shaped apple piece: a reminder that God supplies all our needs. Hunger after His Word for He can satisfy your soul. The heart-shaped stained bandage: a reminder to seek after Him, for He can heal our lives and our hearts. The heart-shaped candle: a reminder that God is our light, the way when we seem to know no other way. In the busy days of your life...Listen, Look and Love. A couple of extra footnotes that kinda make you woozy: - The apple heart was red on a white core
- The blood was red on a white bandaid
- The candle was red with a white center
There was one more package on my front porch that day. A present from a dear friend. It was 2 ceramic doves that looked like my 2 pet doves. My friend's last name is Valentine. Love notes from God can come in strange and normal packages. It may come in a hug from a friend. It can come from a sweet prayer by your Mom. It can come from a child's smile and arms wide open. It can also be found in the sunset, the cricket's chirp or the dove's song. Look for God's love notes. They will appear to you when you least expect them. God loves you. You are his Baby Girl!
